John Wadlow

Principal

As the founder and principal of Wadlow Solicitors, John has over 40 years of experience as a solicitor. John was a member of the Australian Army Reserve for 43 years, carrying out regimental, training, and personnel roles as a Major.

John now specialises in commercial law, wills and estates, maintaining a substantial base of loyal clients with his wealth of experience and meticulous attention to detail.

John is a past member of Rotary, continues to support Trees for Life and Blaze Aid, and provides pro-bono support to several authors and military history groups.

Blake Wadlow

Partner

Blake is a partner at Wadlow Solicitors with an LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) from the University of Adelaide.

With exceptional communication skills, Blake shines in litigation & dispute resolution, providing thoughtful, honest, and pragmatic solutions for clients.

As a board member and adjudicator with Debating SA, Blake has developed excellent negotiation skills. He also enjoys membership with the Adelaide University Regiment Rifle & Pistol Club and the Naval, Military & Air Force Club of South Australia.

Lisa Gates

Practice Manager

With over 25 years of experience as the Practice Manager at Wadlow Solicitors, Lisa is the backbone of the firm with an excellent understanding of the law.

Lisa runs an efficient and conscientious practice, maintaining office operations and assisting clients with their day-to-day enquiries.

Lisa’s role requires commercial awareness and a diverse skillset involving finance, administration, human resources and facilities management.

Paul Hoadley

Logic Squad

Paul has a degree in Computer Science and Pure Mathematics (as well as Medicine, Surgery, and Philosophy) from the University of Adelaide.

With over 15 years of experience in the software industry, Paul provides specialised consulting services for Wadlow Solicitors in software-related contracts and agreements, and intellectual property.

Paul is the director and lead developer of Logic Squad, an Adelaide and Melbourne-based software development firm specialising in designing and building bespoke applications for the web and mobile.

Alan Johnson

RMS International

Emeritus Professor Alan M Johnson AM has over 30 years of experience in research, research management, and research training. He holds a DipLaw, MA(Hons), MEdMgmt, BAppSc, PhD, and DSc, is a distinguished alumnus of Flinders University, and has published over 100 internationally refereed journal articles.

Professor Johnson is currently undertaking his clerkship with Wadlow Solicitors, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in a diverse range of fields.

Professor Alan M Johnson AM was a Fulbright Postdoctoral Research Fellow, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Adelaide, an Emeritus Professor of the University of Technology Sydney, was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2006 and was a National Director for South Australia of the Order of Australia Association.

Lucas Hazel

Solicitor

Lucas is admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia. He received his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Studies from the University of Adelaide.

Lucas assists in a broad variety of matters. His main interest lies in commercial dispute resolution. He has appeared on behalf of clients in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts of South Australia, and in the Federal Circuit & Family Court of Australia. He has instructed Counsel in the Federal Court of Australia.

Outside of work, Lucas enjoys hiking and improving his German.

Joana Stankevicius

solicitor

Joana is admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) at the University of Adelaide.

Joana's predominant practice areas include property law, commercial transactions and family law.

When she's not in the office, Joana enjoys travelling, being outdoors, and is an avid foodie!

Jing He

Solicitor

Jing is a solicitor admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales. She has a JD (Juris Doctor) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Education (Educational and Developmental Psychology) from The Education University of Hong Kong.

Jing specialises in conveyancing and migration law, and has a wide range of experience in commercial law, including intellectual property and liquor licensing.

Fluent in both Mandarin and English, Jing has the necessary linguistic abilities and grasp of the relevant cultural nuances to extend our firm's reach to a broader market, ensuring that clients receive professional advice.

Nicole Jones

Legal Administrative Assistant

Nicole joined our firm recently as a Legal Administrative Assistant. She has a bright personality and deep commitment to her family and children.

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys sports with a keen interest in netball. In her work, Nicole enjoys the challenge that comes with learning new tasks and supporting our firm to be its best.

Ilya Aidman

Law Clerk

Ilya is a Law Clerk at Wadlow Solicitors, and is currently studying a Bachelor of Law, and Bachelor of Arts (Adv) with a major in International Relations at the University of Adelaide.  

Ilya aspires to a be a solicitor, with an interest in commercial law, and public law. He assists the firm in performing clerical and operational tasks.  

With a passion for global affairs, Ilya also holds the positions of President at both UN Youth South Australia and the University of Adelaide Politics and International Relations Association.
